(1) THE TWO SISTERS IN KOREA
Born in Namwon, Korea, two sisters grew up learning the traditions and techniques of their ancestors. Their mother taught them to cook delicious meals using fresh vegetables and herbs from their family's garden.
(2) HUMBLE BEGINNINGS
They dreamed of traveling and of sharing their family’s recipes with the world, and, eventually, they left for America, to open new chapters in their lives.
(3) OUR HISTORIC STREET
They both settled in Columbus, Ohio, where they set their focus on families and careers. They passed on their rituals to the next generation at home, but still longed to share their cooking with a wider community.
(4) A RICH CULTURE
Along the way they met a lifelong friend who specialized in the art of sushi and shared their deep respect for food and cultural tradition. Their worlds met in unity, passions reignited, and a bridge between cultures arose as Hashi was conceived.
